Google Fitbit Edge fitness tracker leaked with $180 price and key specs
Google’s upcoming Fitbit Edge fitness tracker is shaping up to be a compelling mid-range option, according to new leaks. The device, positioned between the Pixel Watch 5 and the screen-less Fitbit Air, is expected to retail for around €179 in Europe and £159 in the UK, translating to roughly $180 in the U.S.
The Fitbit Edge features a 1.34-inch AMOLED display and offers a battery life of up to 7 days without the always-on display enabled, which drops to 2 days when the feature is active. Fast charging is also supported, with 24 hours of battery life achievable in just 5 minutes.
Other key specifications include IP68/5ATM water resistance, compatibility with Android 11+ and iOS 16.4+, and Bluetooth 5.4. The tracker will support health metrics such as SpO2, heart rate, blood pressure/insulin trends, ECG, and VO2 Max. Additionally, the battery is user-replaceable, and the device includes some form of Google Play integration.
One notable aspect is the Fitbit Edge’s compatibility with iPhones, a feature it shares with the Fitbit Air but not with the Pixel Watch series. While the release date remains unspecified, the leaks suggest the tracker will launch soon.
