Google Hikes Prices on TV Streamer, Nest Doorbells, and Cameras Amid Rising Component Costs
Google has raised prices for its Google TV Streamer, Nest doorbells, and Nest indoor and outdoor cameras. The price hike for the Google TV Streamer is particularly significant, with a 50% increase from $99.99 to $149.99.
This is the first time Google has raised the price of the device since its launch in 2024, and the updated pricing is already live on the Google Store and Best Buy websites. Amazon still sells the device at its original launch price, so customers who want to buy it at the lower price should act quickly.
The Nest doorbells have seen a $20 price increase, while the Nest cameras have experienced price hikes ranging from $20 to $50. The updated prices for all devices are as follows:
Google TV Streamer: From $99.99 to $149.99
Nest Doorbell (both wired and battery): From $179.99 to $199.99
Nest Cam (outdoor or indoor, battery): From $179.99 to $199.99
Nest Cam Outdoor (wired, 2nd gen): From $149.99 to $199.99
Nest Cam Indoor (wired, 3rd gen): From $99.99 to $129.99
Google attributed the price hikes to rising memory and component costs.
