Google Hosts Pixel 11 Launch Event with Trevor Noah at Helm

Google's next Made by Google hardware launch event is scheduled for August 12th, and it will be hosted by comedian Trevor Noah. The company has released a new video that teases the upcoming event, which promises to feature other celebrities and influencers as well.

The video shows glimpses of a new phone and smartwatch, in addition to teasers of the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, which have been previously shown by Google. The company has also confirmed that the event will be attended by Indian cricketer Shubman Gill, Japanese actress Ayami Nakajo, and NBA star Stephen Curry.

Last year's event was hosted by Jimmy Fallon, and Victoria Song described it as more like 'a live taping of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon' than a traditional tech launch event. Given the celebrity faces set to appear at this year's event, it seems that Google is once again aiming to reach a more mainstream audience.

The event will take place in New York City and starts at 6PM ET on August 12th. If you're thinking about picking up one of Google's new gadgets, be prepared for a higher price tag, as leaked images and specs suggest that the upcoming hardware may come with a premium cost.
