Google Integrates Gemini AI in Chrome with Interactive Quizzes, Cross-Device Sync

Google has expanded its Gemini AI layer in Chrome with several new features aimed at students and heavy online readers. The company's latest additions include a quiz generator that can create interactive quizzes from the content of any open tab, as well as cross-device sync and podcast summaries.

The quiz tool uses Gemini to read the content of any active tab, including Google Docs, research papers, and lecture videos, and generate an interactive quiz. This feature is currently available on desktop in English only for users in the US and India, with no confirmed date for a broader rollout.

In addition to the quiz generator, Chrome's Gemini-powered features now include audio analysis that can summarize and answer questions about podcasts and video content from sites beyond YouTube. The company has also introduced tab management tools such as tab groups and Split View, which allows users to pin two pages side by side.

One of the most practical additions is cross-device sync, which preserves a user's scroll position and partially filled forms when switching between devices. This feature is available on both desktop and mobile platforms.
