Google Launches Family-Focused AI Agent CC

Google has announced an experimental AI agent called CC, designed for families. This AI is an evolution of Gemini models, which have access to a vast amount of user data within the Google ecosystem.

The new CC agent can be shared among up to six users in a family and has its own Google account. Each family member can interact with it independently or choose not to.

CC's main function is similar to Gemini's Daily Brief, which provides daily action items and suggestions based on user data. The 'Your Day Ahead' email, sent every morning, pulls together the day's events and updates on previous tasks. It also adds items to shared calendars, reminds users about important tasks, and creates documents based on instructions.

Google has implemented various measures to ensure CC only sees emails from its connected users if they are explicitly shared. Users can designate certain addresses as always available to the agent or send content to CC via email or Google Chat.
