Google Lets Users Mark Favorite News Sources Amid AI Traffic Decline
Google has introduced a new feature called 'Preferred Sources' that allows users to mark their favorite news sources. This button can be embedded on publishers' websites, increasing traffic by highlighting these preferred sources more often across Google Search, Discover, and Google News.
The move aims to boost publisher traffic after AI-driven search changes led to a decline in website views. Additionally, Google plans to let users customize their Discover feed using natural language commands, further enhancing personalized content delivery.
