Google Local Service Ads Bug Showing Wrong Locations

Share

A bug in Google Local Service Ads has been reported, causing ads to be shown from advertisers who do not serve specific locations. The issue was first noticed by Len Raleigh on X, where he saw California LSAs showing advertisers from Illinois, New Jersey, Florida, and Texas. Anthony Higman, an LSA expert, confirmed the bug by pointing out that the businesses in question had not selected Fresno or Arizona as target areas.

Google has yet to confirm the bug, but if experts like Anthony and Len are correct, it would mean that Google is showing ads from outside the targeted locations without permission. The bug was first reported on October 1, 2026.
