Google Messages Gets Major Gesture Overhaul

Google Messages has been updated with new gestures and menu changes that aim to improve user experience. One of the major updates is the long-press feature, which now triggers a floating menu next to the selected message bubble. This menu provides quick access to options such as reply, forward, copy, star, delete, select more, and info.

The new menu also includes image-specific options like save and remix. As users open the menu, the background of the conversation blurs, creating a clean and intuitive interface.

Another significant change is the way users can copy text. Instead of copying the entire message, they can now select specific snippets of text by pressing again on the desired portion. This feature works on various types of content, including text, images, videos, links, files, locations, and contact cards.
