Google Pixel Devices Get Motion Sickness Feature, Finally Rolling Out
The long-awaited motion sickness reduction feature for Android devices has finally started rolling out from mid to late August 2026. The feature, previously known as 'Motion Cues' but now called 'Motion Assist', is available on next-generation Google Pixel devices such as the 'Pixel 11' series and the 'Pixel 10 Pro XL'.
According to reports, this feature displays animated shapes on the edges of the screen that move in sync with the device's movement, helping to reduce motion sickness when users look at them. The rollout scope remains unclear, but it is expected that having the latest version of Android OS 'Android 17' and an updated 'Google Play services' app are likely requirements.
Users can customize the moving shapes by changing their color, shape, and opacity, and can also select a random option. Additionally, a 'Quick Settings tile' is provided to turn 'Motion Assist' ON and OFF easily.
