Google Play Booth Steals the Show at Tokyo Game Show 2026

The Tokyo Game Show 2026 took place from September 17 to 20, and among the many attractions was the Google Play booth.

The booth featured four main areas: the Giant Game Attraction, Android Device Touch & Try Area, Google Play Games on PC, and the exclusive Diamond Lounge for high-end members.

Visitors with Platinum status or higher in Google Play Points could experience the special eight-player competitive edition of Google Play TGS GAME STAGE, a collaboration between five popular games: MONSTER STRIKE, Gakuen Idolmaster, Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage!, Arknights: Endfield, and Blue Archive.

The game was controlled using an analog stick and a single button, but it proved surprisingly challenging despite its simplicity. The author managed to finish in 6th place out of eight players.
