Google Turns Gemini into a Website Builder with Wix Partnership

Google's Gemini AI assistant is evolving beyond its current capabilities as it partners with Wix.com to integrate Wix Harmony directly into the platform. This integration will allow users to describe their website needs using text or voice, and Gemini will generate a fully functional site without requiring them to leave the app.

The generated sites are hosted on Wix's servers and come equipped with various business features such as commerce, scheduling, payments, SEO, and accessibility. For Google, this partnership provides another practical application for Gemini beyond its traditional use cases of question answering and content generation.

For Wix, the integration offers a new opportunity to reach potential customers within the Gemini platform when they are already thinking about building a website or project. Shares of Wix saw a minor boost in response to the news, rising around 3% to 4%, while Alphabet also traded higher.
