Google has released Gemini 3.8 Flash and its cybersecurity variant, Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber, to trusted testers and governments. The new model is part of Google's third Flash release in six weeks, with each release carrying European obligations under the EU AI Act.

The general-purpose model is priced at $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 output for introductory pricing until the end of the year, increasing to $1.50 and $7.50 afterwards.

Google's signing of the General Purpose AI Code of Practice in July 2025 has made it comply with Article 53 requirements, including technical documentation, a copyright policy, and public training data summary for every general-purpose model placed on the market.
