Google Unveils Lyria 3.5 Music-Generation Model on Gemini App and API
Google has expanded access to its music-generation model Lyria 3.5 by making it available through the Gemini app and API. This move follows its introduction earlier this year in Google Flow Music, where it was first launched on July 29, 2026.
The updated version brings more expressive vocals and richer musical arrangements than earlier versions, producing tracks at higher fidelity. Lyria 3.5 is now available to all Gemini users globally on the web and in the mobile app, with guided creation features that allow users to select or describe a genre and choose between vocal or instrumental styles.
The feature aims to cater to use cases such as custom backing tracks for video, brand jingles, and personalized ringtones. Beyond the app, Lyria 3.5 is available for artists and AI creatives in Google Flow Music, and for developers and technologists through Google AI Studio and Google Vids.
