Google Unveils New Features for Pixel Devices

Google has rolled out new features for its Pixel devices, including improved VIP management and scam detection. On Pixel 6 phones and newer, users can now access expanded widget options that allow them to quickly send texts or make calls to their VIPs or favorite contacts directly from the home screen.

The update also includes notification badges that indicate if a user has received an urgent message or has unread notifications from a VIP. Additionally, Scam Detection will be available in-app and within Messages on Pixel devices in several countries, including the US, UK, Australia, Canada, and more. This feature alerts users to potential fraudulent messages across chat apps.

The update also includes improvements for Pixel Watch 5 devices, such as a more personalized Gemini that can be accessed offline and more accurate GPS route tracking. One-handed gesture control has been expanded, allowing users to perform various actions with a double pinch on the watch face.
