Google Updates AI Educator Series with New Modules and National Badge-A-Thon
The Google AI Educator Series (GES) has been updated with new modules and a national Badge-a-thon scheduled for September 19. The GES offers no-cost, on-demand training designed to give educators practical AI skills that can be used immediately.
The latest modules include Guided Learning and AI Quests, which allow teachers to automate tasks, provide personalized support, and build interactive learning experiences. The program is designed specifically for K-12 educators and offers flexible, 10-hour virtual events where participants can earn official ISTE-aligned digital badges live.
Since its launch in May, the GES has received feedback from educators who requested more hands-on practical applications. In response, Google has added new modules on a monthly basis, including the ability to build student research and inquiry skills using Gemini's Deep Research feature.
The Badge-a-thon will take place on September 19 and will feature lightning talks, module overviews, live badging, and prize giveaways. Participants can join in for any part of the event, which will run from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM ET.
