Google Upgrades Emoji Design for Older Pixel Watches

Google is updating its emoji design for older Pixel Watches. The new 3D emojis will be available on the Pixel Watch 2, 3, and 4 with the latest September update.

The updated designs use extra shading and depth to give faces and objects a more three-dimensional appearance. This makes reactions look livelier on the small watch display.

The new emoji design was first introduced in Android 17 for Pixel phone users. The Pixel Watch 5 already shipped with this newer look, but it's now being brought to older models as part of the latest software update.

Alongside the redesigned emojis, the September update also includes expanded gesture support and other improvements.
