Google's Booking Search Widgets Now Show Customized Prices
Google's recent update to its Digital Markets Act (DMA) booking search widgets now includes a disclaimer that prices listed are customized. The disclaimer, which is only available in EU regions where the DMA is enforced, states that prices are 'customized by the booking partner based on factors such as your device type.'
The move has sparked curiosity about what other factors might be used to determine pricing, with some assuming users' location and language may also play a role. Radu Oncescu spotted the update and shared a screenshot on X.
