Google's Pixel 11 Pro XL Packs Improved Performance and Camera Upgrades

The Google Pixel 11 Pro XL is the latest addition to the company's lineup of high-end smartphones. We recently got our hands on one, and after taking a closer look, we're here to share our thoughts. The phone is essentially unchanged from its predecessor in terms of design and build quality, but there are some notable upgrades under the hood.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL features a new Tensor G6 SoC, which boasts improved speed and efficiency over its predecessor. Google claims that this new chip offers 25% faster web browsing, 15% faster app launches, and up to 3.5x faster on-device AI processing, all while consuming less energy. The camera hardware has also seen some upgrades, with a new zoom lens and improved sensors.

The phone's Magic Capture feature is another notable addition, allowing users to capture both stills and video by simply pointing their phone at the action. However, we did experience some issues with the HiLight feature, which lights up color LEDs around the camera flash when receiving calls or interacting with certain features. Google notes that there are multiple reports of issues with this feature online.
