Guggenheim Sees $64 Price Target for Nanobiotix on JNJ Partnership
Nanobiotix S.A. (NASDAQ:NBTX), a biotech company that has been working on its lead program JNJ-1900, a potential first-in-class radioenhancer, has received a boost from Guggenheim's analyst report.
Guggenheim assumed coverage of Nanobiotix with a Buy rating and a $64 price target, citing the Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ)-partnered program as its main investment thesis. The pivotal Phase 3 study, NANORAY-312, is evaluating JNJ-1900 in patients with locally advanced head and neck cancer who are ineligible for platinum-based chemotherapy.
The study has a high potential for success, according to Guggenheim's analysis of key opinion leader checks and the trial itself. The analyst firm believes that the 2027 readout of NANORAY-312 will be a major catalyst for Nanobiotix's stock price.
However, there is also clinical risk associated with the Phase 3 study, as JNJ-1900 remains an investigational candidate. Investors should be cautious about the potential deal value of the J&J agreement, which represents approximately $2.6 billion in potential revenue, but has not yet been received by Nanobiotix.
