'Hang the Decorators' Gets Optioned by Amazon MGM Studios

Amazon MGM Studios has optioned the rights to Mike Makowsky's dark comedy feature 'Hang the Decorators', which is currently in development. The project follows two gay interior designers, Alexander Blarek and Frank Pellecchia, who work for a world-renowned drug kingpin and his wife.

The story is based on a true account of the duo's experiences designing extravagant mega-homes for their clients. As their glamorous world begins to crumble, they must confront how much they're willing to risk, and ultimately decide whether to turn against each other.

Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter are producing 'Hang the Decorators' through their company Berlanti/Schechter Films, alongside Makowsky and Yan Fisher for Invisible String Films. The project was brought to the company by Michael McGrath, EVP of Berlanti/Schechter's.
