Haverford Trust Co, an institutional investor, purchased 5,219 shares of The Travelers Companies, Inc. (NYSE:TRV) during the second quarter, valued at approximately $1,723,000.

This is not the only new position Haverford Trust Co acquired in TRV; it also bought a stake worth about $19,949,000.

The institutional investor owns 82.45% of the company's stock, and many other hedge funds have recently increased their stakes in the insurance provider.
