High-Skilled Indians Face Unique Challenges in US Immigration System

Aditya Agarwal, an Indian-origin tech leader and General Partner at South Park Commons, has shared his experiences of navigating the US immigration system. He holds a bachelor's and master's degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and has worked at companies like Dropbox, Facebook, and Cove.

Agarwal has gone through various visas, including F1, OPT, CPT, H1-B, and EB-3 Green Card, before becoming a US citizen. He believes that high-skilled Indians have it harder in the US than most and that the country should prioritize its own citizens.

However, Agarwal also agrees that there is abuse of the H1-B system and that it needs to be stopped 100%. He praises the government's efforts to address this issue but warns that making it too hard for truly high-skilled workers to stay in the US can be counterproductive.
