HIV Activist Debbie Allen Teams Up with Merck to Launch 'Hive' Initiative for Whole Health

Debbie Allen, a renowned HIV activist and executive producer of the NBC sitcom 'A Different World', has launched a new multi-year educational program in collaboration with Merck. The 'Your Hive of Whole Health' initiative aims to help people living with HIV build personalized support networks for their overall well-being.

The idea behind 'Hive' is to extend the concept of healthcare beyond medical treatment, encompassing mental wellness, social drivers, and life challenges. This comprehensive approach is reflected in the program's downloadable workbook, 'Hive Keeper', which guides users in developing personal care circles consisting of healthcare providers, community advocates, family members, peers, and more.

'Whole health doesn't only start in a doctor's office,' explains a hero video on HiveofWholeHealth.com. 'It includes the people who show up for you, the routines that keep you steady, and those close ones who keep you company.'
