Home Depot CEO Steps Down Temporarily Amid Medical Leave
The Home Depot's CEO, Ted Decker, is taking a temporary medical leave of absence. The 63-year-old executive will be temporarily stepping down from his role at the Cobb County-based retailer.
The company has announced that two veteran executives, Ann-Marie Campbell and Richard McPhail, will share leadership duties during Decker's absence. Campbell will manage daily store and retail operations, while McPhail will handle financial management alongside the company's pro business divisions.
Lead Director Greg Brenneman stated that both Campbell and McPhail are 'strong, seasoned executives who have worked together for more than 20 years.' He added that they are confident in their ability to lead the company during this time.
The specific medical condition requiring Decker's temporary absence has not been publicly disclosed. The company expects him to return within a few months.
