Home Depot Expands Magic Apron Features Amid Strong Sales Growth
Home Depot has rolled out new features for its Magic Apron shopping assistant, enabling it to respond to millions of customer inquiries monthly and provide project advice. This expansion builds on the Store Mode launched in 2022, which allowed customers to shop more efficiently through barcode scanning and improved in-store navigation.
The Magic Apron is now available in over 2,000 stores across the U.S., allowing customers to access it via Home Depot's mobile app or by scanning QR codes on in-store signage. Positive customer feedback during the pilot phase indicates that the new features not only speed up product location but also boost their confidence in purchasing decisions.
Home Depot reported strong sales growth, with net sales of $47.9 billion, a 5.7% increase year-over-year, primarily driven by demand for smaller projects and contributions from the GMS acquisition.
