Home Depot Expands Pro Delivery Network with New Massachusetts Facility
Home Depot has expanded its Pro delivery network with the opening of an 18th flatbed delivery center in Westminster, Massachusetts, on October 5, 2026. The new facility spans 1.1 million square feet and is designed to send oversized and bulk products directly to jobsites, targeting professional contractors and builders. This expansion aims to reduce the need for contractors to transport heavy materials themselves, while also offering delivery services, trade credit, and digital project tools.
The operational scale of this expansion is significant because the Pro business relies on larger orders and recurring project demand. The new center adds logistics capacity rather than just another retail location, which could be crucial as Home Depot integrates its recent distribution acquisitions. In the fiscal second quarter of 2026, Home Depot reported net sales of USD 47.861 billion, up 5.7 percent from the previous year. However, profitability saw a slight decline, with operating margins narrowing to 14.3 percent from 14.5 percent.
Despite the sales growth, the margin pressure has raised concerns among investors. Stifel maintained a Hold rating and a USD 346.00 price target for Home Depot on September 28, 2026, based on a valuation model using enterprise value relative to estimated fiscal 2027 earnings. The next earnings release is scheduled for November 17, 2026, which will provide further insight into whether the delivery expansion is driving demand and if the margin pressure persists.
As of October 6, 2026, Home Depot stock was trading at USD 285.58 on the NYSE, with a 52-week range of USD 277.15-397.63 and a market capitalization of USD 284.8 billion.
