Home Depot Foundation Teaches Kids the Ropes with New Skilled Trades Program
The Home Depot Foundation has announced its commitment to introduce 15 million people to skilled trades by 2032, and as part of this initiative, it is launching a new program called 'The Skilled Explorers' in partnership with Scouting America.
The Skilled Explorers program aims to raise awareness among students aged 11-17 about the various skilled construction trade careers available. The hands-on, no-cost program introduces students to skills such as carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
Any youth education group can participate in this program, including schools, aftercare programs, clubs, parents' groups, nonprofit organizations, and homeschool groups.
