Home Depot Holiday Sweater Sells Out in Minutes
Home Depot's first-ever holiday sweater has caused a stir among customers. The unisex sweaters, which cost $29.99 online and come in sizes XS to XXL, feature a bright orange-and-green Fair Isle pattern with tool icons.
The standout item also includes a tool belt with a screwdriver, tape measure, pliers, headlamp, Command outdoor light clips, and mechanical pencil, along with a $50 peppermint-scented gift card for extra purchases.
Despite the impressive value of $150, according to Home Depot, the initial drop sold out within hours. Customers were limited to one per purchase, but some still expressed frustration on social media about not being able to buy the sweater in time.
'This message is for Home Depot and your holiday sweater that literally sold out in less than a minute,' said one customer on TikTok. 'I was on at exactly 11 a.m., added it to my cart, was in queue, which said it would take about 17 minutes for me to check out. Not even 30 seconds later, every size was sold out.'
Fortunately, interested buyers will have another chance to get the sweater during its second drop on October 15.
