Home Depot Rolls Out Express Delivery Nationwide
The Home Depot has rolled out express delivery across the US, offering customers to receive eligible orders in three hours or less for a flat fee. The service uses Home Depot's supply chain network and over 2,000 US stores as fulfillment hubs.
Eligible products, including plumbing, hardware, paint, and tools, will be marked on product pages and at checkout. The delivery fee is $7 in most major markets and $10 in Los Angeles.
Home Depot's EVP of Interconnected Retail, Jordan Broggi, said that the majority of deliveries are now happening in under one hour. He noted that the company aims to continue working on reducing delivery times for customers in the months ahead.
The move is part of Home Depot's efforts to maximize its supply chain capabilities and speed up deliveries. EVP of Merchandising Billy Bastek said that Home Depot has cut its delivery lead times in the US by 45% over the last 18 months.
