A Home Depot shopper in New Jersey stumbled upon an unusual sight while browsing for mulch in the garden department. On September 17, 2026, Rebecca noticed a cardboard box with scrawled writing above her head: 'Be careful! New kittens.'

The woman immediately alerted a manager, who then discovered that a team member had left the kittens in the pallet after noticing them there. Despite good intentions to reunite the family, it was clear that the kittens needed to be relocated from the busy and potentially hazardous area.

Luckily, the shopper was already familiar with Rebecca's Rescues, a local animal rescue organization. She offered to take the six kittens to a safe foster home, where they could receive proper care until they're old enough for adoption.
