Honeywell Aerospace Chair Invests Heavily in Company Stock Amid Challenges
Honeywell Aerospace Chair Craig Arnold made a significant investment in the company's stock after its recent slump. On September 1, he purchased 6,400 shares at $156 each for a total of $998,400.
This transaction is notable because it shows that even key executives are confident in the company's future prospects. The shares ended Friday at $161.01, leaving Arnold's purchase 3.2% ahead.
Honeywell Aerospace has faced challenges since its spin-off, with a 26.9% decline from its first regular close as an independent company and a 34.9% drop from its July 2 peak. However, management cut expected 2026 organic sales growth to 4%-5%, citing supplier capacity concerns.
Despite this, the order book and free-cash-flow range held steady, with second-quarter sales growing 5% to $4.52 billion and backlog rising 9% to $18.2 billion. The operating bridge still has missing planks, but investors see room for a rebound.
