Honeywell Aerospace Faces Securities Class Action Lawsuit Over Cybersecurity Misstatements
Honeywell Aerospace Inc., trading under the ticker HONA on NASDAQ, is facing a securities class action lawsuit over alleged misstatements regarding its exposure to a False Claims Act investigation into cybersecurity noncompliance in government contracts.
The lawsuit claims that Honeywell Aerospace failed to disclose federal scrutiny of its conduct pre-dating the company's spin-off from its parent company in June 2026, despite warning investors about potential civil or criminal enforcement under the U.S. False Claims Act.
The complaint asserts that management made materially false or misleading statements regarding supplier constraints and exposure to the investigation during the class period.
Honeywell Aerospace agreed to pay $2,042,518 on September 1, 2026, to resolve allegations of failing to comply with cybersecurity standards set out in National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication 800-171 for one of its networks as required by contract and regulation.
