Honeywell Aerospace Shareholders Sue Over Alleged Securities Fraud
Honeywell Aerospace, Inc. (NASDAQ: HONA) shareholders who purchased common stock between June 29 and September 1, 2026 may be eligible to recover losses in an ongoing securities fraud lawsuit. The Law Offices of Frank R. Cruz announced the filing of a class action lawsuit on behalf of investors who suffered losses due to allegedly false and misleading statements made by the company.
On August 5, Honeywell Aerospace reported second-quarter earnings, revealing a 70% year-over-year decline in net income and adjusted earnings per share down 32%. The company also slashed its full-year guidance. Following this news, HONA's stock price plummeted $47.17 or 23.16%, closing at $156.47 on August 6.
Just a few weeks later, the Justice Department announced that Honeywell Aerospace agreed to pay over $2 million to settle False Claims Act allegations of failing to comply with cybersecurity requirements in a U.S. Department of Defense contract. As a result, HONA's stock price fell another $3.87 or 2.45%, closing at $154.24 per share on September 1.
The complaint alleges that throughout the class period, defendants made false and/or misleading statements about the company's business, operations, and prospects. Specifically, they failed to disclose material adverse facts, including the investigation into potential violations of the False Claims Act for failing to comply with cybersecurity requirements for government contracts.
