Honeywell Heads Back to Padres After Brief Stint with Dodgers
RHP Brent Honeywell Jr., a former Los Angeles Dodgers World Series Champion, is signing with the San Diego Padres. According to Yahoo Sports, Honeywell has agreed to a Minor League Baseball deal with the Padres. This move comes after he spent part of three seasons in the MLB, including time with the Dodgers in 2024.
Honeywell was picked in the 2nd round of the 2014 MLB Draft and has had stints with the Tampa Bay Rays, San Diego Padres, Chicago White Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Dodgers. He spent part of last season with the Padres, making 36 appearances for a 4.05 ERA in 46.2 IP.
The Dodgers are currently leading their series with the Milwaukee Brewers and will continue playing in California before heading to visit the Colorado Rockies on Monday night.
