Honeywell Aerospace has released its 35th Global Business Aviation Outlook for 2025-35, projecting a robust decade ahead for business aviation. The report forecasts 9,950 new business jet deliveries and 4,200 turboprop deliveries over the next 10 years, marking a 4.4% increase over last year’s outlook when adjusted for scope. This year’s report includes turboprops and personal jets like the Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet for the first time, reflecting a broader market view.

Kevin Schwab, Honeywell’s strategic planning manager, attributed the upward revision to a positive economic environment despite concerns over trade policy, oil prices, and interest rates. The forecast is supported by an annual Buyer Expectations Survey, which found that 28% of operators have at least one aircraft on firm order, indicating sustained optimism in the orderbook. Operators prioritize mission performance, including range, payload, speed, and field performance, along with cabin experience, cost, and customer support.

Honeywell predicts a 29% fleet growth over the next decade, driven by higher deliveries and slightly lower retirements. This growth benefits the entire support ecosystem, including retrofits, modifications, MRO services, FBOs, and fuel suppliers. Utilization is also improving, with fractional ownership and charter models boosting projected flight-hour growth to 34%, outpacing fleet growth. Current performance shows business jet flight hours up more than 4% in 2026, with midsize and super-midsize jets leading the way.

Schwab noted that roughly 30% of surveyed operators expect to fly more next year than this year, signaling continued positive sentiment. He emphasized that a drop in this figure would warrant closer scrutiny, but for now, the outlook remains strongly positive.
