Honeywell Stock Holds Steady Despite Aerospace Margin Pressure

Instruments
HON

Honeywell International Inc.'s (HON) stock held above $235 on August 12, 2026, despite its aerospace margins taking a hit. The company's second-quarter results showed a 5% year-over-year sales increase, but also a $50 million inventory obsolescence charge.

The adjusted earnings per share for the quarter dropped by 32% compared to the same period in 2025. However, orders for Honeywell Aerospace rose 8% over the past 12 months, and the book-to-bill ratio reached 1.1. This suggests that demand remains strong.

Honeywell's aerospace division is a key profit driver, and its adjusted EBIT came in at $995 million in Q2 2026, down 7% from the prior-year quarter.
