Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE has partnered with Honeywell Technologies to develop a 700,000 barrel-per-day refinery in Kenya. The project scope is estimated at $300 million, similar to their previous collaboration on the Lekki refinery in Nigeria.

The new facility will produce gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and polypropylene, leveraging proven engineering designs developed by Honeywell Technologies for the Lekki refinery. This approach aims to reduce the development schedule by nearly two years compared to typical newly constructed facilities.

Dangote's President, Aliko Dangote, stated that the project will expand Africa's refining capacity and strengthen long-term energy security for the continent while serving growing export markets.
