Honeywell's Access Control System Streamlines Marine Corps Barracks Operations
Honeywell Technologies has successfully deployed its LenelS2 OnGuard access control system for the U.S. Marine Corps' global barracks facilities, as part of their Barracks 2030 modernization initiative.
The system, managed by the U.S. Navy's Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic team, supports over 70,000 locks across participating installations and allows remote management of access permissions and monitoring of activity.
The new platform uses a government-provided cloud instance and meets Department of Defense cybersecurity and compliance requirements.
Ewa Pigna, president of Security and Access Solutions for Honeywell Technologies Building Automation, said 'The future of security lies in scalable, intelligent platforms that improve both operational performance and user experience.'
