Hong Kong Disneyland's New Avengers Drop Tower Ride Unveiled

Disney has been working on a new Avengers-themed drop tower ride at Hong Kong Disneyland. The ride, which is currently under construction in the park's Tomorrowland area, will feature an all-star roster of Avengers including Spider-Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Thor.

The ride system will be similar to Disney's Tower of Terror and Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission - BREAKOUT!, but its function within the fictional narrative is very different. In this new interpretation, the elevator shaft is not just a literal thing, but rather a technical expression of the story that we're pretending is something else.

The drop tower ride will be part of what Disney referred to as a 'pavilion', which includes a courtyard area featuring a large Quinjet. This area will serve as a place for guests to spot favorite Marvel superheroes in person, and could also be used for small shows.
