Huang Declares AGI Breakthrough with OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has declared that artificial general intelligence (AGI) has arrived, citing OpenAI's launch of GPT-6 Astra as proof. The model achieved a 98% score on FrontierMath Tier 4 and a 99.9% score on ARC-AGI-3, with 100% on ExploitBench.
Huang credited the four-year evolution of models trained on more than 100,000 Grace Blackwell NVLink72 chips for this breakthrough. He also mentioned that another 400,000 GPUs are coming online next, further expanding Nvidia's role in scaling increasingly capable AI systems.
GPT-6 Astra is initially rolling out to a limited group of organizations before expanding to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users. OpenAI plans to offer the model through its API, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services' Bedrock platform.
