Huang Pushes Back on AI Regulation Calls Amid Global Debate

NVIDIA's CEO Jensen Huang is pushing back against calls to slow down artificial intelligence development, arguing that companies can develop AI quickly while maintaining safety standards.

Speaking at a Salesforce event, Huang said that companies should delay products when safety concerns arise but described safety primarily as an engineering responsibility. 'Safety is paramount,' he said. 'In a lot of ways, it’s job one. However, safety is an engineering problem.'

Huang's comments come amid a widening global debate over AI safety, regulation, and data-center expansion.
