The Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) Bengaluru has partnered with IBM to launch the IBM-MIT AI Lab at its campus in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The lab aims to democratize access to advanced computing resources and research infrastructure for students, researchers, and institutions across India.

The inauguration was attended by Prof. Madhu Veeraraghavan of MAHE and Nisha Gopinath of IBM, marking a significant milestone in enhancing AI research capabilities. The lab is powered by advanced GPU-enabled infrastructure and will support research in fields such as machine learning, deep learning, and cybersecurity.

The AI Lab also serves as a hub bridging academia and industry, supporting interdisciplinary projects, startups, and IBM SkillsBuild initiatives. This partnership aims to create an inclusive AI education environment and equip the next generation with essential digital skills as India's AI landscape evolves.
