IBM Bob Now Available in Self-Hosted Environments for Enterprise Software
IBM has expanded its Bob platform to allow self-hosted environments for sensitive and mission-critical enterprise software. This move enables organizations to bring AI-powered development capabilities in-house, giving them control over their deployment, models, and infrastructure.
The Bob platform helps teams understand, plan, execute, and validate software development and modernization work across the entire lifecycle. With self-hosted deployment, developers can run IBM Bob in customer-managed environments, using core Bob capabilities to understand, plan, develop, and modernize applications.
Organizations can choose from supported self-hosted, air-gapped, and hybrid model configurations based on workload requirements. They can also integrate Bob with supported IDE and infrastructure environments to fit established development workflows.
IBM plans to expand the supported model portfolio and introduce multi-model routing in future releases, reducing the complexity of matching models to development tasks while helping teams balance capability, performance, and cost.
