IBM Launches FutureNow Center in Visakhapatnam Amidst AI, Digital Services Hype
Andhra Pradesh's IT and education minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated IBM Consulting's FutureNow Center in Visakhapatnam, marking a significant step towards building a complete technology ecosystem. The center will provide consulting and technology services for global clients across various sectors, including AI, hybrid cloud, software engineering, data analytics, cybersecurity, and enterprise transformation.
Lokesh emphasized that the government's vision is not just to attract technology investments but to create high-quality employment opportunities and develop future-ready talent in the state. He stated that IBM's FutureNow Center is a strong endorsement of Visakhapatnam's emergence as a global hub for AI, digital services, and technology-led innovation.
The center will operate from 15 locations in India, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Mysore, Noida, Pune, and Visakhapatnam. Sandip Patel, managing director of IBM India & South Asia, expressed his commitment to helping build capabilities that enable clients to accelerate AI adoption and other emerging technologies.
