Iger, Aikman, Dove Enter Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame

Three sports broadcasting legends have been named to the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame Class of 2026. Bob Iger, former Chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company, is among the honorees. Iger's extensive experience in the industry includes his time at ABC Sports, where he worked for 13 years before joining Disney in 1994.

During his tenure with Disney, Iger oversaw ESPN's growth into the digital streaming sphere and helped facilitate an agreement with the NFL. He is currently serving as Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors and a member of the company's board. In addition to his work at Disney, Iger and his wife, Willow Bay, are also controlling interest owners of the Angel City Football Club.

Troy Aikman, a 25-year veteran NFL analyst and five-year ESPN contributor, is another inductee into the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame Class of 2026. Aikman spent 20 years at Fox Sports after retiring from his playing career with the Dallas Cowboys in 2001.

Jim Dove, an ESPN replay operator for nearly four decades, rounds out the trio. He has been instrumental in developing game-changing technologies such as 4K zoom and pylon goal line replays. Dove's contributions to programs like Sunday Night Baseball and Monday Night Football have earned him two Sports Emmys.
