Ijeoma Emezie-Ezigbo Tapped as VFD Group Deputy Managing Director

VFD Group Plc has named Mrs. Ijeoma Emezie-Ezigbo as its new Deputy Managing Director and Executive Director, effective October 5, 2026, pending shareholder and regulatory approvals. With over 20 years of experience in corporate finance, transaction advisory, and strategic financial management, Emezie-Ezigbo brings a wealth of expertise to the financial services group.

Her career spans Nigeria, Canada, and the broader African market, with notable roles at KPMG, IBM Canada, Canadian Tire Corporation, and Stanbic IBTC. Most recently, she served as Partner and Head of Transaction Services, West Africa, at KPMG Nigeria, where she led advisory services for mergers, acquisitions, and valuations.

Emezie-Ezigbo's journey at KPMG began in 2002 as an Audit Analyst, followed by a return in 2006 to lead financial advisory services. She climbed the ranks, becoming Partner in 2017 and expanding her leadership to the West African region in 2023. Prior to KPMG, she managed institutional pension funds at Stanbic IBTC and held financial analyst roles at Canadian Tire Corporation and IBM Canada.

Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nigeria, a Master of Finance from Cass Business School, and certifications from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, ACCA UK, and CPA Ontario.
