Ingenia Therapeutics Lists on KOSDAQ After Retina Disease Breakthrough
Ingenia Therapeutics has successfully listed on the KOSDAQ market, marking a major milestone for the company. The listing follows the transfer of its retina disease treatment technology to EyeBio in 2022, which was later acquired by Merck for $3 billion.
The company's TIE-body and LCIDEC antibody platforms are at the forefront of its research, with the lead pipeline candidate 'IGT-427' currently undergoing phase 3 trials as a treatment for wet age-related macular degeneration. A separate phase 3 trial is set to begin for diabetic macular edema.
Ingenia Therapeutics also has other promising candidates in development, including 'IGT-303', which is in a phase 2a trial in Australia, New Zealand, and Korea with the goal of global technology transfer by 2027. The company's CEO, Han Sang-yeol, emphasized the importance of delivering results from its subsequent pipelines to prove its technology in the global market.
With its listing on KOSDAQ, Ingenia Therapeutics is poised for further growth and development as a corporation that grows together with its shareholders.
