Institutional Investors Pile into Walmart Amid Market Volatility
Corient Private Wealth LP recently acquired a new position in Walmart Inc. (NASDAQ:WMT) shares, purchasing approximately $213 million worth of stock during the second quarter.
The fund bought 1,886,620 shares, making it one of several institutional investors to increase their stakes in the retailer.
Other notable buyers include Brighton Jones LLC, which lifted its position by 28.8% in the fourth quarter, and Revolve Wealth Partners LLC, which grew its stake by 5.8% during the same period.
The acquisition of Walmart shares is part of a larger trend of institutional investors increasing their exposure to the retailer's stock.
