IREN Delivers AI Data Center Facility to Microsoft Amid Record-High Demand
IREN has achieved a significant milestone by delivering its first AI data center facility, Horizon 1, to Microsoft. This project is part of a five-year contract worth $9.7 billion, with four identical deployments scheduled for the cloud services giant.
The 50MW direct-to-chip liquid-cooled facility at IREN's Childress, Texas campus has been certified as NVIDIA Exemplar Cloud status on its GB300 NVL72 deployment. This certification validates that IREN's infrastructure can support demanding AI training workloads with performance, reliability, and scale.
According to Daniel Roberts, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of IREN, 'Delivering Horizon 1 demonstrates the strength of our vertically integrated model and our ability to execute complex AI infrastructure projects at speed and scale.'
