J.P. Morgan Maintains Buy Rating on Salesforce Amidst Strong Earnings
Analyst Samik Chatterjee from J.P. Morgan has maintained a Buy rating for Salesforce (CRM) in a recent report, setting a price target of $265.00. This is according to TipRanks, which shows Chatterjee as a top 25 analyst with an average return of 54.1% and a 75.15% success rate.
Chatterjee covers the Technology sector, focusing on stocks such as Apple, Salesforce, and Akamai. This is not the only positive view for Salesforce, as Evercore ISI's Kirk Materne also gave the company a Buy rating in a report issued yesterday.
However, Morgan Stanley has taken a more cautious approach, maintaining a Hold rating on Salesforce. The recent earnings release for the quarter ending July 31 saw Salesforce report a quarterly revenue of $11.35 billion and a net profit of $3.53 billion, compared to last year's revenue of $10.24 billion and net profit of $1.89 billion.
Despite this positive financial performance, corporate insider sentiment for the stock is negative, with 157 insiders selling their shares over the past quarter. This increase in insider selling has a negative impact on the overall sentiment for Salesforce.
